TeamViewer is a screen sharing and file transfer app that is ideal for web conferencing, presentation and troubleshooting computer problems remotely. It lets you control a remote computer over the internet -you can view another computer screen in real-time and control your partner screen as if you were sitting right in front of it.
TeamViewer has two version of services. Its basic features ( remote control, file transfer and VPN) are available in free version and are sufficient in most aspects for individual user. The paid version ( for business or commercial use) offers different connection options and additional features.
Connecting to your partner computer is super-simple, and is just a matter of entering correct ID and password. Just run TeamViewer setup on both systems – your PC and partner PC. A dialog box will shown up that allow you to opt either install software or execute with out installation. Once, you’ve got the software installed (or running) on both system, automatic IDs and passwords are generated on both computer. Enter your partner ID and password and the connection established immediately. It allows you/your partner to do file transfer and remote access for support, without requiring firewall reconfiguration.
There are plenty of additions in term of features but I think you should know four ingenious features of TeamViewer given below -
• It can even run on a USB flash drive without installation.
• There are mobile apps (for iPhone, iPad and Android devices) that can display a remote PC’s full desktop quite well.
• There is an entirely web-based version for TeamViewer, to use it you need to sign up a free account with them.
• TeamViewer works with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux distributions.
