After all the talk, Google has launched its +1 button feature for websites today. Its means webmasters and bloggers can add +1 button on your website or blog so that visitors and readers can quickly “+1” ( or recommend) webpages directly from websites.
To recommend a story on Google search results your visitors and readers must have a Google Profile. The users with Google profile can recommend by clicking “+1” button if they like your website or any article on it . This means next time their friends( in Google Contacts) search for a related content, they will see recommended article on search results with a +1 next to titles as shown below.

Also, the users can see all the +1 items on Google Profile page and are also able to remove recommended +1 items right from your Google profile page and choose whether or not to display +1 items on your profile page.
