One of the main reason behind Firefox success is that a large number of add-ons are available for it. In fact, if your browser is lacking a feature or you think it could do something better, there’s probably an add-on designed to overcome that issue. The main function of an addon is to enhance your browsing experience but in a recent report by Mozilla, some add-ons may slow down your browser performance .
Mozilla has published a list of 50 add-ons that slow down your Firefox browser performance. The List (see screenshot) surprise you as many of the Firefox add-ons are widely popular among users. According to Mozilla, these add-ons make Firefox slower and affect the regular web browsing.
You can uninstall these most sluggish Firefox add-ons in order to improve your browser performance. The Mozilla team has taken initiative to perform tests on the top add-ons hosted in its add-on gallery every week and display the lists of add-ons that slow down Firefox.
