Download Youtube Videos to your computer with VLC media Player

No doubt, VLC is one of the best free open source media player that can play all  type of media formats. You can do really interesting things with VLC media player . Here I come up with a simple trick that can enable you to download  videos from YouTube using VLC .

VLC support streaming media  from the popular video sharing Website like YouTube. You can watch YouTube Video right inside your VLC Player which is a great fun but people find it useless when there is already an built-in video player on YouTube.

There is another way to take advantage of this feature of VLC. You can use VLC to download your favorite videos from YouTube.  Follow the steps given below to download YouTube Video without using any online website or Video Downloader.

Step 1 - Copy the URL of Video you want to download.

Step 2 – Open VLC media player. Go to Media< Open a network stream. Paste the URL in Network Protocol  text box and click the play button. The Video start playing in the VLC media player.

Step 3- Now, you can either record the video playing in the VLC player or alternate method – Go to Tools< Media Information. Copy the location of YouTube video that is playing in the VLC player .

Step 4 – Open browser and paste the copied location to the address bar and press enter key . The video will start playing inside the browser. Press CTRL + S to save the video to the hard disk of your computer as shown below.

Once the download process complete , play and enjoy the downloaded video with VLC player or any other player install on you computer. As we know, VLC is a cross platform software,  same trick is applicable  to other OS like Linux and Mac.
